Model - Matching Solution for OptimalPositive Joint Torque

چکیده
Applying positive joint torque feedback in direct drive motor systems reduces the eeect of external load torques. This is most beneecial when accurate position tracking is required in the presence of large disturbances or for complex loads as found in robotic manip-ulators. We formulate the problem of torque feedback in the presence of actuator dynamics. The problem of nding the optimal torque feedback which minimizes the maximum disturbance sensitivity is equivalent to the model-matching problem. The eeect of the load on the rotor dynamics appears as a perturbation minimized by the proposed torque feedback. To synthesize the torque lter, only the actuator dynamics and a very rough knowledge about the mechanical load is required.

متن کاملThe relationship between joint strength and standing vertical jump performance.
The effect of joint strengthening on standing vertical jump height is investigated by computer simulation. The human model consists of five rigid segments representing the feet, shanks, thighs, HT (head and trunk), and arms. Segments are connected by frictionless revolute joints and model movement is driven by joint torque actuators. Each joint torque is the product of maximum isometric torque ...
متن کاملRedundancy Resolution by Minimization of Joint Disturbance Torque for Independent Joint Controlled Kinematically
Majority of industrial robots are controlled by a simple independent joint control of joint actuators rather than complex controllers based on the nonlinear dynamic model of the robot manipulator. In this independent joint control scheme, the performance of actuator control is influenced significantly by the joint disturbance torques including gravity, Coriolis and centrifugal torques, which re...
متن کاملThe need for muscle co-contraction prior to a landing.
In landings from a flight phase the mass centre of an athlete experiences rapid decelerations. This study investigated the extent to which co-contraction is beneficial or necessary in drop landings, using both experimental data and computer simulations. High speed video and force recordings were made of an elite martial artist performing drop landings onto a force plate from heights of 1.2, 1.5...
متن کاملFactors in uencing performance in the Hecht vault and implications for modelling
This paper investigated the factors that influence Hecht vault performance and assessed the level of model complexity required to give an adequate representation of vaulting. A five-segment planar simulation model with a visco-elastic shoulder joint and a torque generator at the shoulder joint was used to simulate the contact phase in vaulting. The model was customised to an elite gymnast by de...
